Intent levels
How strongly a lead is researching a topic, and how recently. ๐ฅ Hot, Warm and Cold.
Consumers (B2C) and Businesses (B2B) audiences are built from intent topics: things people
are actively researching online, such as "solar panels" or "CRM software". Every lead from an
intent audience carries an intent object:
"intent": {
"level": "high",
"topic": { "id": "tp_4521", "name": "Solar Panels", "category": "Home" },
"last_active": "2026-10-18"
}Levels
level | Badge | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
high | ๐ฅ Hot | The strongest research signal on the topic. Reach out first. |
medium | Warm | A moderate signal. |
low | Cold | The weakest signal. |
Filter by level with "intent": ["high"], or a where clause on intent_level.
Recency
Intent covers the last 14 days. Narrow it with active_within_days (1 to 14), or a
where clause on active_date (a YYYY-MM-DD date inside that window). last_active on each
lead is the last day we saw research on its topic.
Topics
- Search them with
GET /v1/topics?q=...&type=b2c(orb2b). Topic ids look liketp_123. - An audience takes 1 to 5 topics, counted across
topicsand anytopicwhere-clauses. - Consumer topics also have a category and subcategory you can filter on (
topic_category,topic_subcategory). - People audiences have no intent, so their leads have
intent: null.
