Chips
1 chip = 1 full lead. How chips are bought, granted, spent and when they expire.
1 chip reveals 1 lead with every field we have: email, phone, LinkedIn, address, demographics, job, company and intent. Phone numbers cost nothing extra.
What costs a chip
| Free | 1 chip |
|---|---|
| Searching topics, describing, building audiences, counts | Revealing a lead your workspace hasn't unlocked yet (in the app, the API or MCP) |
| Masked previews | Exporting a lead you haven't unlocked yet |
| Revealing or exporting a lead you already unlocked | An enrichment lookup that matches |
| Enrichment lookups with no match | Each new lead a watched audience auto-reveals, up to its cap |
Unlocking is per workspace. Once anyone in the workspace has revealed a lead, everyone in it can see, export and re-reveal that lead for free, from any audience.
Getting chips

| Scale plan | 25,000 a month | $2,250/mo ($0.090 per chip) | End of the following billing period |
A plan's chips roll over for one month: chips granted for October expire when November's billing period ends. Buy packs and plans in the app under Billing. Disposable email domains don't get the signup bonus.
Lots and spending order
Every grant is a lot with its own expiry date. A Reveal always spends from the lot that
expires soonest, so nothing you paid for expires while newer chips sit unused.
GET /v1/chips returns your balance, the lots that still hold chips, and the ledger: every
grant, spend, refund and expiry, newest first.
Spending safely
Every call that can spend chips takes a budget:
POST /v1/audiences/{id}/revealrequiresmax_chips. If the Reveal would cost more, nothing is revealed or charged and you getmax_chips_exceeded.POST /v1/enrich/batchrequiresmax_chipsfor the whole job. The job spends up to that budget, then skips the rows it hasn't looked up yet and still finishes. See Enrichment.POST /v1/enrichtakes an optionalmax_chips(1 or more). A match costs exactly 1 chip, so it never exceeds the budget.- Watched audiences spend at most their
capper run. See Watching. - If your balance is too low for a Reveal or a single lookup, nothing is charged and you get
insufficient_chips. A batch job that runs out finishes early witherror_code: "insufficient_chips". - Send an
Idempotency-Keyheader and a retry returns the first result without charging again. See Idempotency.
Charges are atomic: two Reveals racing on the same workspace can't overdraw the balance or pay twice for the same lead.
Low balance
The chips.low webhook fires in two cases:
- Your balance drops below 50 chips, or below 10% of your last grant if that's higher. We also email the workspace owners. This fires at most once a day.
- A watched audience's run couldn't auto-reveal its new leads because the balance was too low, even if the balance is above that threshold (for example, a cap bigger than the balance). This fires once for that run.
